Summary

With a strong foundation in Computer Science, I have cultivated 14 years of hands-on Java development expertise coupled with 8 years of team leadership and management experience. My career has spanned various industries, ranging from telecommunications to healthcare and finance.

One of my most recent achievements was spearheading an engineering team of over 35 talented individuals. In close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including the CTO, QA, Product, Security, Legal, and Compliance, we embarked on an ambitious missionto develop a greenfield cryptocurrency-based financial platform. This platform, designed to support three different channels (iOS, Android, and Web), was a complex undertaking.

What sets this endeavor apart was the remarkable speed at which we delivered resultswithin a record time of just one year. During this process, I played a pivotal role in assembling and nurturing my team, from working closely with recruiting firms to conducting interviews and extending final offers.

Additionally, I worked collaboratively with Product and various partner teams to craft a comprehensive roadmap, define epics, review requirements, and conduct architectural system design assessments. Security was a paramount concern, and I partnered with our CISO to successfully onboard key third-party vendors, including AWS, Gitlab, Sonarqube, JFrog, Swaggerhub, Pluralsight, Cloudguru, and more.

Looking back, I'm immensely proud of the remarkable team we built together in just 1.5 years. We not only developed the platform from scratch but also navigated the complexities of deploying it into production within a year. This journey was undoubtedly challenging, but it was also deeply rewarding. It is an experience I would gladly undertake again, driven by the passion to push boundaries and create innovative solutions.

Expectations

From my new job I am expecting the following:

Team Building: I would expect to lead and build a high-performing engineering teams and help them grow in their careers and acquire new skills while also promoting diversity, inclusion and innovation. I would also like to collaborate with all cross functional teams to be aligned with business strategy and eventually contributing in company's growth and success.

Product design and development: I would like to be involved in the process from inception to delivery of a product which includes brainstorming ideas to design, development and delivery on time and within budget

Technology: I would like to work with Leads in my team to have a say in selecting the technology stack and driving innovation within the engineering department. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and assessing their relevance to the company's needs.

Quality and Process Improvement: I would like to ensure to build high quality software by following effective engineering processes. This may involve implementing best practices, automation, CI CD, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Budget and Resource Management: You may have responsibilities related to budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring that projects have the necessary resources to succeed.
