Very dedicated Software Engineer with over 12 years of programming experience

Summary

I am a 2013 graduate of Stony Brook University with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Since graduation, I have gained valuable professional experience working with Java, C++, C, C#, DirectX, OpenGL, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Unreal Engine 4, Unity, OpenVR, and Oculus Rift SDK. I have been employed on a full time basis while continuing to pursue my passion in the area of game, and graphics programming. I believe that my education and professional skills in the areas of application and gaming development and automated testing uniquely qualify me for a position with Mirajobs.

I was most recently a Software Engineer with Red Storm Entertainment (Ubisoft) which is a AAA game studio responsible for developing The Division series. For The Division Heartland, I was responsible for various aspects of the game such as telemetry events, gameplay bugs, online service bugs, AI, and implementing a live patch system. I was also employed as a Software Engineer with MLB where we develop the R.B.I series of games (R.B.I. 20 and R.B.I. 21). The R.B.I. Series is a AAA game title released on all major platforms such as PS4, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, iOS, and Android. I worked on many different aspects of the games such as creating a Play by Play commentary system, creating and managing leaderboards and stats for all platforms, bug fixes, and general gameplay programming. In addition to this, I also have experience working in different software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.

My previous work as a Lead Software Engineer with Monsterful Inc where I developed Virtual Reality training simulation software. The training simulation is used by Sports training academies all over the country, including the MLB. The software also uses real life Trackman data, which is radar data of pitch speeds and specific details from real life baseball games. This data allows us to re-create real world pitches in Virtual Reality, allowing anyone to train against real MLB pitches.

In addition to my full time employment, I continue to work independently and with academics in the gaming and graphics programming space. My particular areas of expertise and interest include both programming and Virtual Reality (VR) Technology. I own an Oculus Rift DK2 and an HTC Vive (SteamVR) which I work on to create games and applications associated therewith. I have recently created an application that allows the VR viewing of 180, 270, 360 and Photosphere cellular phone images. Additionally, I currently work with a small team aimed at creating a VR game where the player uses virtual hands to pick up, throw, and crush virtual objects with the VR controllers. The game is called The Deserts Rose and is now available on Steam Contact .
