User Experience Researcher
Summary
I bring a unique blend of expertise in human behavior and qualitative research skills to my role as a UX researcher. With a master's in human development and family science, I have a deep understanding of how people grow, learn, and relate throughout their lives. As a former couples and family therapist, I honed my skills in: active listening, identifying needs, analyzing complex interpersonal dynamics, and developing strategies to improve peoples experience. These skills have been invaluable when I transitioned 2 years ago to UX research. My background allows me to: conduct insightful user interviews and usability tests, identify subtle pain points and unspoken needs, design research protocols that engage participants, analyze qualitative data with an eye for human behavior patterns, and translate research findings into actionable design recommendations. I can bridge the gap between user needs and product design to support product and services experiences that resonate with people's wants and needs. My ability to understand and articulate human behavior in product and service development has made me an invaluable asset to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
