B.A. in English literature, 5+ years as a teacher (last 2 leading a team of teachers), 3 years of technical support writing for a SaaS platform.
As a teacher I broke down information so it was easily digestible and well-organized. As a technical support writer, I compose detailed messages to address technical, procedural, and troubleshooting questions targeted to the receiver's experience and ability. I also do regular product testing to uncover and document issues, and maintain a high level of expertise in the product, staying current with updates and changes. I collaborate remotely with multiple teams across time zones including technical specialists to ensure that the information I provide is accurate and complete. I identify internal and external documentation gaps and draft suggestions to fill them.
Expectations
I'm looking for a FT long-term remote role that involves documentation, technical content writing, or a mix of both for a company that shares my values of sustainability , diversity/inclusion, and accessibility. I'm especially interested in open source and renewable energy. A supportive and kind company culture is also important to me.
