Technical Director, TED-HQ & Broadcast / June 2017-December 2022

My role is to drive the technical production for all TED Theater events and TED virtual/broadcast events from pre-production through post-event deliverables, from initial idea through execution, by translating the goals and requirements of internal and external stakeholders into actionable roadmaps for success.

I designed technology, created workflows and led production change management for the production of high quality, live to web events in a fully virtual environment due to the COVID-19 Pandemic:
- Led the technical production pivot to virtual events for TED.
- Among the first in the industry to deploy software video production technology in a cloud environment, using Amazon AWS EC2 with 100% remote operators and talent.
- Worked cross-functionally with TED's Design and Engineering teams to build a custom live Q&A application.

Technical Project Manager/Lead on the TED World Theater project; responsible for driving the creation a custom built, integrated hardware + software solution designed specifically for live event production.

Drove the technical production of events including:
Dozens of TED "Salon" Events.
TED 2018 "Backstage Pass" Facebook Live Interview series.
TED 2019 Audacious Project Twitter Live.
TED Connects, a daily Facebook Live interview show produced in March-April of 2020.
TED 2020 "Uncharted"; a fully virtual TED Conference: 8 weeks with 4 live to web events per week.
TED Women 2020 and 2022 fully virtual TED conferences.
TED virtual events for partners including: Boston Consulting Group, UNDP, Dell Womens Entrepreneur Network.
Social media live broadcasts on Facebook Live and Linked In Live.
"Climate Countdown Launch" by TED and Future Stewards, a live, fully virtual event to accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, with over 15 million views on YouTube.
"TED Climate Global Livestream" by TED and Future Stewards, a live to web, hybrid event with ties to the TED Climate Conference and COP 26, over 6 million views on YouTube.
