Summary

I am a Technical Program Manager at Techtonica, a nonprofit that provides free tech training and job placement or job support for women and non-binary adults from low-income backgrounds. With over 3 years of experience in teaching JavaScript full-stack technologies (PERN stack) and mentoring 52 graduates in software engineering, I am passionate about empowering and supporting underrepresented groups in the tech industry.

In my role, I manage the entire application pipeline, from organizing JavaScript pre-req study groups, workshops, and code challenges to scheduling board interviews and onboarding new participants. My contributions to the process increased the number of qualified participants by 89%.

I coordinate various events, such as one-day workshops, graduations, hackathons, speakers, and career sessions, ensuring smooth logistics, outreach, and communication. Additionally, I apply my skills in full-stack development, which I gained from previous jobs, to build program software and update the website. My goal is to enable and facilitate the success of Techtonica's participants and graduates and to contribute to the diversity and inclusion of the tech industry.
