Sustainability Specialist
Summary
I am a sustainability professional with a multidisciplinary background spanning environmental systems, international development, supply chains, and stakeholder engagement, with a particular passion for the foodenergywater nexus. My work sits at the intersection of systems thinking, practical implementation, and human-centered communication, connecting sustainability strategy to real-world outcomes.
I hold dual bachelors degrees from Arizona State University in Sustainability (with a focus on international development and leadership) and Anthropology (culture and linguistics), which shaped my ability to analyze complex socio-environmental challenges while effectively engaging diverse stakeholders. My academic and research experience includes National Science Foundationsupported work on foodenergywater systems and recycling infrastructure design in Uruguay, where I examined how policy, technology, and human behavior intersect in resource management. I am currently pursuing LEED AP BD+C certification to further deepen my expertise in the built environment and sustainable systems integration.
Professionally, I bring experience across supply chains, procurement, data analysis, and program management. At Boeing, I managed high-value procurement contracts for aerospace and defense programs, conducted risk assessments, negotiated cost reductions, and supported supplier onboarding and process improvement initiatives, which translates directly to sustainable sourcing, resilient supply chains, and responsible resource management. Earlier roles supporting Amazons North American supply chain and working with the Sustainable Cities Network exposed me to renewable energy initiatives, municipal sustainability planning, and large-scale operational systems.
More recently, I have worked in client success and systems optimization roles, leading cross-functional teams, improving internal processes, and implementing data-driven workflows, including emerging AI tools. These roles strengthened my ability to manage complex projects, align stakeholders, and turn strategy into execution. These are skills I am eager to apply to sustainability efforts in food systems, energy transitions, water stewardship, and circular economy initiatives.
Across leadership, research, and professional roles, my core motivation has remained consistent: building resilient, equitable systems that balance environmental limits with human needs. I am seeking opportunities in the food, energy, and water sectors where I can contribute analytical rigor, operational experience, and clear communication to projects that advance long-term sustainability and community impact.
Expectations
I am seeking a role in the sustainability space (particularly within the food, energy, and water sectors) where I can contribute to building resilient, equitable systems through applied strategy, implementation, and cross-sector collaboration. I am most interested in work that moves beyond high-level sustainability goals and into practical, measurable impact.
I am looking for opportunities that:
Focus on food systems, renewable energy, water management, or the foodenergywater nexus
Emphasize systems thinking, long-term resilience, and responsible resource use
Involve translating sustainability strategy into real-world programs, policies, or operations
Allow me to work across disciplines, departments, or partner organizations
Value data-informed decision-making alongside human-centered design and communication
I thrive in environments where I can take ownership of complex projects, improve processes, and support stakeholders through change; whether that means optimizing supply chains, supporting sustainable procurement, advancing infrastructure or community-based initiatives, or scaling programs with long-term environmental and social benefits.
I am particularly drawn to organizations that are mission-driven, collaborative, and committed to meaningful sustainability outcomes, rather than performative or compliance-only efforts. I am open to roles across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, provided the work is implementation-focused and aligned with long-term environmental and community impact.
