Summary

With over 17 years of MS SQL Server experience, I have developed a strong understanding of data management, database design, and optimization. Throughout my career, I have leveraged my SQL expertise to develop and maintain data pipelines, which have contributed significantly to the efficiency and success of various organizations. My ability to write and tune complex SQL queries has allowed me to extract valuable insights from data, as well as resolve a wide variety of application issues.

I have a history of collaborating effectively with cross-function teams, understanding their specific data needs, and designing data solutions that meet those requirements. My previous background as a Business Intelligence Analyst involved working with a wide variety of users across different teams to support them with the data reporting that they needed to best perform their jobs. Using t-SQL, SSRS, and SSIS I have been able to provide processes for data storage and handling as well as front end service for users.

I am a fast learner and committed to expanding my skillset where possible. I have taken some time to get familiar with tools such as Powershell and Python. I believe that my existing proficiency and passion for SQL will allow me to adapt and excel as I gain more experience with any additional needed tools. I am confident that these skills, combined with my problem-solving mindset, will be valuable assets to any company that values their data.

Expectations

I especially enjoy T-SQL focused problem solving, especially performance tuning stored procedures. Seeking a stable work environment, preferably working from home or near to my current location, that appreciates the value of good data quality and database design.
