Software Engineering Manager
Summary
I am a 25-year veteran of the software development industry, currently serving as a remote manager of a Software Development team at Amazon. I am seeking a role where I can provide empathetic leadership to a team of high performing engineers, providing coaching and feedback as they work to develop their careers. I value growing the people on my team and have a strong desire to develop cohesive and effective organizations. I will collaborate across teams, customers and stakeholders to establish goals, develop roadmaps and ensure engineers are focused on the right priorities from sprint to sprint to deliver results while keeping tech debt to a minimum. I will ensure team and individual mechanisms are in place to build trust and morale, communicate effectively, reduce manual processes, enable a high bar in operational excellence. If in a remote environment, I will foster inclusivity, ensuring engineers are connected and understand how their work impacts the business and the customer.
