Summary

I was a Junior Software Developer who recently completed an internship at a company in Vancouver, British Columbia. During this time, I transcribed hard-coded Python scripts to improve efficiency and future-proofed the implementation of developed scripts that transcribe audio recordings to musical notation while detecting different frequencies within the file. I also produced audio files of different frequencies using a Python sound library, pyAudioAnalysis, and improved the transcribing recordings' efficiency by 95%. Additionally, I submitted 20+ company database entries of CSV file analysis using various Python packages such as SciPy, NumPy, Plac, StatsModels, and Matplotlb, and increased the company's YouTube channel's average viewership by 72% by creating educational weekly instruction videos.
Currently, I am a Project Manager where I lead a team of 5 developers to deploy a Machine Learning Model of financial projections of food and household items. I was also the President of an Engineering Club where I lead an executive team of 7 individuals to expose high-school students to the field of engineering.

I have 3+ years of experience in Java & Python programming through courses and projects, improved program debugging skills, completed projects with searching and sorting algorithms along with linear and non-linear data structures, developed programs that required the use of JavaScript Document Object Model and Events, and acquired project management skills through work and leadership experience. I am currently pursuing Bachelor of Engineering Science, Software Engineering (BESc) at a University in Canada and have received a scholarship of distinction (95% Admissions Average).

Expectations

As a student studying software engineering at university, I am eager to gain hands-on experience in the field and learn more about the industry. I understand that a software engineering job requires not only a strong understanding of programming languages and technical skills, but also the ability to think critically and solve problems. I am excited to apply my knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design to real-world projects and continue to develop my skills in a professional setting. Additionally, I am eager to learn about the latest tools and technologies used in the industry, as well as the collaborative nature of software development and the importance of clear communication and team work. I am dedicated to being a valuable asset to any software engineering team and am committed to continuously learning and growing in my career.
