Software Engineer II
Summary
In my most recent experience, I took part in rebuilding a legacy system from the ground up in order to improve performance, user experience, and to satisfy our businesses' desires to consolidate web platform technology. Before this project, our two businesses operated independently, however, their web sites were duplicate in a lot of ways. To achieve this goal, we needed to build our web components to be generic and allow the businesses to inject their content and preferences, as well as give the content authers the tools to do so. Along with this, I also assisted in building multiple web pages on our e-commerce platform, worked closely with analytics experts in order to capture crucial data to be used to make the platform/product better, created and modified queries and mutations in GraphQL, added data entry points into the back end to be utilized by the front-end, solved numerous bugs, and added new features.
