Summary

I hold a Ph.D. in Social Developmental Health Psychology and have successfully transitioned into the field of software development at a fast-paced startup. In this role, I have not only delivered forward-facing features that enhance our customers' productivity but also provided them with tools to humanize themselves. One such feature is the option for our customers to share their pronouns, allowing them to express their identity as a complete individual. Additionally, I have made significant technical contributions to our sales enablement platform, including the development of training flows that resemble college courses, thereby assisting our customers in effectively training their users on their products.

Beyond my technical expertise, I am actively involved in our company's Employee Resource Group for Asian Americans. As the Cultural Chair Lead, I have made substantial strides in growing our membership by an impressive 161% over the past two years. In this capacity, I take the initiative to educate our members on Asian American history, provide mental health resources tailored to their needs, organize events for AAPI Heritage Month, and collaborate with local AAPI businesses to celebrate our rich heritage while supporting their owners.

My ultimate goal is to become a well-rounded software engineer who leverages my psychological expertise in empathy and prosocial behaviors. By doing so, I aim to create an environment that nurtures future engineers from diverse backgrounds and empowers them to achieve limitless success.
