Summary

Starting my career as a manual tester, I have worked my way to becoming a highly competent backend engineer. My recent experience was in productionalizing Machine Learning models, and collaborating with Data Scientists to ensure efficiency and expected outcomes. Through this work I have also contributed to the XGBoost open-source library, extending the functionality available to Java users. I have 4 years of experience being part of on-call shifts 24/7, independently fixing problems in the middle of the night as well as collaborating with other teams when issues were across multiple projects. I am a quick learner, and am eager to pick up new languages and technologies when a project or task calls for it and have experience in many different technologies (some unlisted) collected through my career.

Expectations

A place where I can continue to grow my skills in applying machine learning, preferably using Java but not a strict requirement as I love using new programming languages. Team size is not a concern of mine, as I have been on teams as small as me and one other person to 14 person teams. I would like to be in a space where there is cross-team collaboration to deliver products whether that's a front end team, data science team, site reliability teams, etc.
