As a backend engineer in an E commerce organisation these are my achievements and responsibilities.
Worked as a backend engineer in the Developer productivity
team with the core objective to own and improve Staging. With a team of 4 we managed to improve the efficiency of
Staging from around 65% to 95%. The team collectively owned 5 central services - API Gateway, Communication, Auth, Vault and Location Service and worked on
all of them for multiple features. Apart from Staging optimizations, worked on 3 sub projects of
the Staging Factory project. Nodeport project was about solving the issue with nodeport exhaustion in a GKE cluster. This made me go beyond the scope of my skills and responsibilities in providing a viable solution. Seed Data V2 is one of the biggest projects that I have worked on
in my career. It's about providing a controlled and automated way
to create and validate seed data. Owned the design and
implementation. This project aimed to reduce the SOSs that were
caused due to improper manual update of seed data Environment pooling was about providing new environments which was ready to use from a pool to users. This enabled the user to use an available environment rather than waiting for about 30min to create one. This was a team effort which
significantly increased productivity and efficiency of other engineers. Responsibilities included on-call activities mentoring juniors, code
and design reviews, debugging, etc.

Expectations

Looking for a new role that focuses on working on a profitable product or leading tech in the market. Looking for a good work life balance.
I am not concerned about the tech stack. I am always open to working with any new teck stack.
