Summary

I am a software developer specializing in mobile development with extensive web dev experience. I was laid off in Oct 2023, no fault of my own. I have worked with many types of software in my 3 years of professional experience.

I personally enjoy documentation, organization, and being the bridge between the client and the dev team. I'm pretty skilled and experienced with discussing the project's progress and dev team's capabilities with clients in a way they can understand. I enjoy requirements gathering and discussing what may be best for the end user since that is who the product is for. Hopefully, this can give an idea of what I can bring to the team.

What is the key to success?
100% the key to success is communication. In person or remote, the client NEEDS to be updated frequently so that they remain on the same page with the dev team. The development team cannot waste any time or effort on features that the client didn't want. That wastes the client's money and the team's mental energy.

The dev team (or someone representing them) needs to communicate clearly in a way the client can understand that certain features cannot be done, why, and offer alternative solutions if possible.

Communicating falsely is detrimental to the team, like telling the client what they want to hear, not setting boundaries to protect the dev team, and pressuring the dev team to deal with impossible demands.

Expectations

My specialty is mobile development in any platform so I hope to do something in that nature. I have worked on plenty web development projects, too, and I would be happy to do more web stuff. I have been in the industry for 3 years after graduating college in 2021. I want to work for a team that doesn't take themselves too seriously, have a good sense of humor, and value a work-life balance. I'd like to stay remote. I want to work for someone who values learning and understands what it's really like to be a developer and that there's no one way to do it. We are really just expert Googlers.
