Summary

After 20 years of work as a Graphic/Web Designer, I started getting requests for jobs that required full-stack software engineering skills. After having to turn down a couple of Web Design jobs, I decided to take a course in Software Development via a coding bootcamp. This choice led me to entirely changing my career, as I fell in love with the work. In the 4 years since then, I've worked as a Software Engineer at PayPal, having gone from being a junior engineer to a Lead Engineer on a project that ended up safeguarding millions of dollars of weekly revenue for the company.

Expectations

"I like to build things" has been my mantra my whole life and it has served me well as a Software Engineer. I prefer to be in a position where I am either able to build new products or given the room to expand and improve upon existing processes and architectures. I've inherited a lot of tech debt during my career and I've happily paid it off.
