Software Engineer
Summary
I graduated from University of Washington Tacoma with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Minor in Mathematics.
From here I became a Software Test Engineer at Microsoft where I served as a tester for Microsoft Teams and Skype. I spearheaded a team of nine in revamping the existing Microsoft Teams and Skype test plans leading to a 25% reduction in the number of bugs and coordinated with Microsoft Teams and Skype developers when formalizing new test plans resulting in a 20% decrease in regressions.
After this position, I have taken personal time learning new technologies. I began with React, learning a frontend framework to get a deeper understanding of frontend development. I also am currently completing the IBM Data Engineering Professional Certificate learning about Data Pipelines, Data Warehousing, and getting hands-on use of technologies such as Kafka, Airflow, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and many others.
