Software Engineer

Summary

My most recent role was at Amazon, where I worked as a backend software engineer. My team worked on the customer claim automation systems - If you order an item on Amazon, and you were to encounter some issue with your order/item, typically you would file a claim through support to get it resolved. These claims come through our systems and go through all sorts of automations in order to be resolved. Most of my work pertained to API and database development/testing, and the two database technologies I worked with the most were Amazon RDS and DynamoDB. My biggest accomplishment during my time in this role was testing and deploying a machine learning model to production, and seeing how much faster claims could be processed as a result.

Expectations

I'm looking for a role where I can learn a lot and grow as an engineer, and also a place where a positive working culture/environment is fostered.
