Summary

As an alumnus of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in illustration, I bring my creative experience to the world of technology with an eye for design and elegant technical solutions. Several years ago I discovered my passion for code and made the life-changing decision to attend the program at Suncoast Developers Guild, a 12-week fully-immersive coding boot camp, and since then I have worked on numerous enterprise-level applications in a wide array of industries such as eCommerce, language-learning, and home equity. My work has been primarily frontend-focused with an emphasis on JavaScript, TypeScript, and React with some NodeJS on the backend.

As a software engineer, I am always looking for ways to improve my code and thereby the projects I work on. I am passionate and hard-working, and I favor a high level of communication and collaboration. Coding has taught me that anything can be figured out, whether it's an issue with a personal project or a real-world problem unrelated to code; it just requires persistence and a growth mindset. The real joy of coding to me is in the learning itself.

Expectations

I would like to work in a collaborative team environment with a high level of communication and room for learning and growth. Ideally, this organization would be transparent, have trust in its employees, and be financially secure.
