Software Engineer

Summary

I was born in New Jersey and grew up in Germany, Italy, and Japan as a military brat. For undergrad, I came back to the US and studied business at the University of Richmond (Go Spiders!). Growing up, I never really knew what career I wanted to pursue. I am a hard-worker, so I knew whatever I decided to pursue, I would excel in. I found an interest toward everything, be it a grocery store bagger, a math teacher, or a basketball player. I quite literally chose a bachelors in Business Administration because I thought the word Business in my degree would help me land a job in whatever field I wanted at the moment.

After working in sales and customer service, I took some time to myself to figure out what I wanted. I stumbled upon freecodeCamp one day and the rest is history. I am a lifelong learner who enjoys being challenged daily. Theres nothing more satisfying than debugging code and seeing our service come to life. I enjoy it so much I let time slip and forget to take POMs (working on it). I also love working with others and learning about their cultures (and foods, especially). Problem solving with others and seeing different approaches to the same problem is rewarding to me.

I am currently looking for my first role in the tech industry and am so excited to grow and learn with your company!

My technical skills include: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, OOP, TDD.
