Summary

Software Development is my second career. My first career as an Educator and Instructional Coach has brought many skills to this new career. I am able to manage many tasks at once while also focusing to get the job done. I am organized and have excellent soft skills. I have been working professionally as a Software Engineer for the past year and half and have definitely found a job I love. I am now seeking a team and position that is a good fit. My skills are full stack MERN and FrontEnd JavaScript. I am also quite good at learning and problem solving in new areas of the codebase. For example I have worked in PHP files to update blade files. I have worked on writing JSUnit (Mocha) tests as well as some refactoring of Acceptance Tests (Codeception). I love collaboration and solving problems.

Expectations

I am looking for a culture that values differences and works well together. I am looking for a place that I can gain new skills and excel in skills I have. I am looking for mentoring from more senior developers and for opportunities to pair as equals. A place where expectations are clear and the ability to work independently is fueled by well defines processes and documentation. I am looking for a team that values each other individually and as a whole.
