Summary

My experience with React and Hooks makes me a formidable developer across the full stack. I am confident that I can bring immediate value to any company as I recently built an application with React+Hooks, Node/Express, and Redis, which allows users to browse and search for recipes and also add the ingredients to their shopping lists. I built this app out of my passion for cooking. Redis, an in-memory database, is chosen to maintain shopping list data for faster user experience. The app is currently hosted on Heroku.

Here is another project that I built with teams, which is an application with React, Node/Express, and MongoDB, which allows users to browse and book campsites. I built the photo carousel module from scratch with React and styled the frontend with Styled-Component. I also engineered the RESTful API server to communicate with MongoDB database to support the client side rendering. As a team with 3 people, we incorporated Agile methodologies for efficiency and productivity and in the end, I built the proxy server to combine all the microservices and deployed the project on AWS.

Expectations

I want a team that I am happy to work with every day and I want some fun and challenging projects that can make our daily life easier. I appreciate companies who put customers' need first and also respect their staffs.
