Software Engineer
Summary
My passion for coding was ignited by my desire to create opportunities for myself and others through the power of technology.
As a first-generation immigrant in the United States, my unique perspectives and aspirations have been shaped by my understanding of financial and food insecurity and the lack of opportunities that can come with it. This has driven me to be persistent, diligent, disciplined, and empathetic, and to always strive for excellence in all that I do.
Throughout my career, I have gained a wide range of skills and experiences, including valeting cars, mixing cocktails, driving an 18-wheeler, owning a small trucking company, painting walls and laying hardwood floors, serving incredible BBQ, managing social media accounts, and creating my online brand and content. Currently, I am the Maintenance Director at GIC Logistics, where I am responsible for creating and maintaining a maintenance program for a small fleet and managing the company's social media presence.
But my true calling has always been in the tech industry. That's why I pursued a software engineering program and am now certified in CSS, Flask, HTML, JavaScript, Python, React, and SQL. My studies and certification have allowed me to develop a strong foundation in software engineering principles and practices. I specialize in quickly learning new programming languages and frameworks, problem-solving, domain-driven design, project management, video and audio production, design and editing, time management, critical thinking, decision-making, organization, stress management, adaptability, creativity, leadership, and resourcefulness. I have also gained proficiency in TypeScript and Git/GitHub.
I am confident in my ability to thrive in a software engineering role and am excited to join a company where I can utilize my skills and take on new challenges. If you're interested in learning more about my background and capabilities, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am eager to join a forward-thinking and innovative team and take the next steps in my tech career.
