During my time at Duke, I gained expertise in software engineering, web-app development, and data structures. I completed projects such as Mini Amazon, where I developed a full-stack web application modeling the Amazon system, showcasing my proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, Django, and multi-threading. Additionally, I built a HTTP caching proxy server, implementing an LRU cache and utilizing C++ and socket programming to improve performance by 100%.
Besides, I had the opportunity to intern at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer, where I successfully designed and deployed a Redis version cache, achieving a 40% latency reduction and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve cache hit ratios. This experience equipped me with Java, Spring, Redis, and AWS skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
