Some highlights include the role of Head of Profession operating at department/middle-management level, leading a small team collectively responsible for the careers and capability of 100 technical staff (taking 25 software developers myself, leading other Heads for QA, Infrastructure and Operations) to meet the changing needs of the department & cloud migration. This was a strategic promotion from Software Development Manager of 10-15 developers (predominantly, but not limited to, C# & java, entprise and web), including starting a graduate program, recruting and tasking leads and ScrumMasters across multiple products.

My most recent 3 years were as Autonomy Software Project and Program Manager in robotics responsible for delivering highly complex, cutting-edge solutions from R&D, through proving, production, Go-To-Market and deployment, in the domains of perception, sensor data fusion, machine vision, obstacle detection, machine learning (semantic segmentation) and mission/route planning for autonomous robotic industrial applications. While the role was focused on delivering an ambitious program of projects, I was also hired to contribute my extensive experience, knowledge and skills to help grow the company from start-up SME to a more corporate culture, to improve industry standard process and practices, SOC2, ISO, Cybersecurity, PENTESTing, GDPR and Privacy.

In addition, I have spent 5 years as a Product Manager / Product Owner across two organizations. One role was proposing, managing and consulting projects from vision, requirements through to delivery of enterprise-level web and communications platforms & bespoke software. The other as Product Manager for a highly performant, distributed constructive simulation system used in defence and security markets for generating realistic synthetic feeds into military kit, adopting a range of integrations to merge and visualize data alongside real-world vehicles, people and abstract entities.

I bring added credibility to a technology leadership role from a 13 year career as an agile C++/C# .NET software developer previous to moving into product and people management. I have genuine, valuable discussions to spot risk sooner, jump on opportunities, weigh options and build agreement and trust.
