Software Development Engineer in Test
Summary
Formally a pre-medical student, I received my bachelors degree in Biology and minor in chemistry from Southern Utah University. After graduation, I joined a medical device company as a Quality Specialist where I was responsible for maintaining compliance with federal and industry standards for device quality. Seeking new opportunities, I attended and graduated from a software development school, Devmountain. There I learned full-stack development, software/automation testing, computer science theory and many other tools to be successful as a software engineer. Utilizing that experience, I have developed and published applications using JavaScript, Python and Elixir. Notably, I currently operate as a freelance developer for a non-profit organization where I've built an application to facilitate donations to their charity, published on the Google and Apple stores. Along with this, I have dedicated time learning software testing as I am aspiring for QA Engineer and SDET roles. For example, I have written various scripts involving UI automation testing as well as API testing in multiple languages such as Python and Elixir. Along with this, I have taken time to study QA responsibilities and subject matter, allowing me to be familiar with tools such as Selenium and common automation frameworks such as Linear Automation, Modular Based Testing, Data-Driven and others.
Expectations
I am looking for an opportunity to join an organization where it's members take pride and ownership in what they do. I have expectations to be challenged and be given the opportunity to grow and develop within my role.
