Software Development Engineer
Summary
I recently graduated from Penn State University in August '22 having defended a Master's Thesis in Deep Learning and publishing to a top research conference - AAAI.
- Master's Thesis : Designed a synthetic prediction market that leverages gradient descent to train, thereby achieving 58.7% speedup and reducing memory footprints by 79%, while retaining the same prediction accuracy.
- AAAI Publication : A Synthetic Prediction Market for Estimating Confidence in Published Work - Leveraged artificial prediction markets to predict the reproducibility of a given research paper alongside inter. Achieves an F1-score of 0.91.
I was then employed with Meta where I worked on both software development and deep learning projects:
- Electrification Calculator : Used Hack (PHP) to implement a tool in Facebook homeowner groups that would help calculate and minimize home electrification costs. Logic supplied by RMI (rmi.org) and implemented in the tool.
- XML Search Tool Revamp : Converted a limited functionality keyword-based backend search that retrieves XML files to a powerful and robust filter-based search and correspondingly updated graphQL and frontend React Component enabling query persistence in URL.
