Summary

I work at Samsung R&D on the platform behind Samsung TV Plus. I develop Spring Boot APIs and Angular admin tools used to manage streaming content for a global user base of about 80 million users. My main contributions have been backend performance optimization and CMS modernization including database query tuning and caching that significantly improved page performance. I also collaborate on production debugging, batch jobs, and AWS deployment, so Ive gained experience working with real large-scale systems rather than only feature development.

Expectations

Ive had a very positive experience at Samsung working on large-scale systems like the TV Plus content management platform. Ive learned a lot about backend service development, performance optimization, and maintaining production systems used by millions of users.

However, my current role is more focused on maintaining and improving an established system. At this stage of my career, I want to work on problems where I can contribute more to system design and architecture decisions for example designing services from scratch, making scalability tradeoffs, and owning features end-to-end rather than only optimizing existing ones.

So in my next role, Im specifically looking for a team where I can take deeper ownership, work on high-impact engineering problems, and grow as a strong backend engineer while contributing to a product that is actively evolving.
