Software Developer

Summary

I am a passionate, self-driven software developer that specializes in Backend Software Development. My strongest language is Python, but I don't shy away from picking up a new language / refreshing on languages I've used in the past.
In my first role out of college, I worked in an IT role but took it upon myself to learn Powershell and script and automate as much of the day-to-day tasks as possible
I've worked as a Lead Software Development Instructor at a coding boot camp, where I would need to communicate and teach complex ideas to students learning to code for the first time. In this role, I also built an automated student tracking system to help alleviate hours of manual work.
In my last role, I built assessments and challenges for companies to validate the skills of their job candidates needed to talk with customers to gather their needs and wants. Build the assessments, translate them into a variety of coding languages, and write the internal code to receive a score from that assessment and give back individualized feedback.

Expectations

I'm looking for a company where I can contribute and learn. The company should care about its employees and their work/life balance. At the same time, a company holds its employees to a high standard of work. I want to work at a place where each day I know the work I do is having a positive impact on the overall goals of the company.
