Summary

I have been building software for over 20 years after I received my Master's in Computer Science and my Bachelor's in Computer Engineering. I have worked in both small and large organizations, I have led projects, trained developers in industry best practices including automated testing, SOLID principles, and design patterns. I have provided mentoring and coaching to new and aspiring developers both within the companies where I worked and also as the host of the Mentoring Developers podcast. More recently, I am deeply involved in architecting and building modern Next.js apps with AI superpowers including building custom RAG pipelines, smart search filters, running open source LLMs on VPS, advanced prompt engineering and AI service orchestration among other things. Every day, there is something new to learn and apply to existing solutions to make them better.

Expectations

I would like to work with technical, sales, and marketing teams to bring tangible ROI to my next company in a capacity that allows freedom to grow both in the business and technical sides of things. I would love to work at a place where opinions are valued and diversity is celebrated.
