Summary

I have many years of experience building foundational technology for young startups. As an example, I designed and implemented a majority of the software while I was at COTA (everything from the backend to frontend to infrastructure and operations management). While at Capsule, I migrated their entire stack from a specialized cloud provider to Amazon AWS and codified their infrastructure as code. I built a robust CI and CD system as part of the migration. I also led an initiative to move their backend code from Golang to Python because it felt like the company could use a more batteries included approach to software development. At Fetch Robotics, I designed and implemented a prototype for a cloud orchestration platform for warehouse automation. It was essentially a cloud runtime that could execute ECMAScript programs.

Expectations

Ideally, I am looking for a role where I am given a set of constraints or variables, and I am left to my own devices to find a way forward. If the domain is new territory for me, preferably there would be a set of resources or point of contact that could assist me if I am blocked. I would prefer a remote role, but I am open to relocation. Concretely, I am open to roles that are typical software development roles.
