Summary

I am an experienced, Senior Technical Writer adept at making complex technical topics accessible to diverse audiences. I view Technical Writing as part teaching, part guidance, and part illumination. By illumination I mean telling the larger story of what a product does and why it does things the way it does, so that users can be successful in navigating through the tasks that are most important to them.

I have experience in a wide range of topics, from network optimization and security to Solr search, geospatial analysis, eSignature, DITA, XML, and content management. I have also created all kinds of documentation, including user guides, tutorials, help and reference content, and customer support articles.

Expectations

I'm looking for a job where I can be part of a cohesive and cooperative team, where empathy and compassion are combined with curiosity, drive, and a passion for writing. Technical Writers are part of the development team writ large, and my ideal job involves participating in the end-to-end development process as a peer and key contributor.
