Senior Staff User Experience Researcher & Research Lead

Summary

I am a researcher who helps managers, developers, entrepreneurs, and policy makers build things and make decisions.

I enjoy research with a purpose, so most of my work is applied. At Meta, I created a new method of identifying patterns of trust and safety issues across countries, which helped us scale how we identified and addressed problems, saving time and resources.

My academic research and advocacy work has been cited by the Supreme Court of the United States, Supreme Court of British Colombia, Skeptic Magazine, Psychology Today, and the London School of Economics US Policy Center blog, among others.

I am a board member for Pawlytics, a Delaware B Corp specializing in software that streamlines animal rescue operations and health records management, and I was formerly on the boards of 89.3 KZUM Radio and the Lincoln Calling music festival.

Expectations

I expect to lead and conduct research projects while embedded in a cross-functional team. I want to plan, execute, and communicate research insights to stakeholders who appreciate the value that user experience research brings to product design and development. Being a former professor, I would like to mentor junior researchers, and collaborate with other senior researchers and UX leaders. Last, I would like to use my mixed methods skillset to fully understand the nuances of the populations I work with.
