Summary

Software Engineer with 9 years of professional experience across two companies. Strong Java background, using frameworks such as Spring, Guice, Hibernate. Also used Python, Groovy, Ant, at various points throughout my career. A fast learner who can adapt to new environments. Passionate about mentoring junior members of the team. Strong communicator across varying levels of technical knowledge. Have led various smaller scale projects as the most senior member on my development team, and been relied on as subject matter expert to assist contracting teams. Newly moved to Vancouver, BC and looking for my first role.

Expectations

Ideally, somewhere I can have an impact as an individual contributor. I want to build new features, discuss requirements, come to the best technical solution, make sure the solution is well tested and of high quality. I want to achieve this by working with my team, and having the opportunity to guide junior members in their development. I can be trusted to be the most senior technical member on a team with defined scope, but probably need support from above for the wider architectural vision.
