Hi,

I have worked as a Data Engineer/Machine Learning Engineer and a Software Engineer over the past 7 years and due to my versatility in tech, I believe I would be the perfect candidate as a Software Engineer at your company.

As a Data Engineer the largest and most complex project that I have worked on was migrating 22.5 PETABYTES of Capital Markets Trading data for Scotia Bank via batch processing by designing source tables, target tables (Amazon Redshift) and the entire end-to-end ETL process using AWS. I have also worked on streaming data from Capital Markets into backend databases using a combination of Spark and Kafka to built fault tolerant pipelines that move data daily. Ive presented my findings to pass audit and worked cross-functionally with other teams to gather information, lead and coordinate entire projects.

I also have experience as a Machine Learning Engineer (Python, TensorFlow, Pytorch), I have developed Computer Vision Models by using AWS Bedrock (QWEN 2.5 VL) and used RAG out of box frameworks like Langchain and Langgraph to add context and increase accuracy. I have deployed these models into production as well using Docker, Kubernetes, NGINX etc. I have worked on classification and regression algorithms such as XGBoost, Regressions, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine, K-Nearest Neighbors and Gradient Boosting using backend banking data and third-party data.

As a Software Engineer I can code in Python (Django/Tkinter), Java (Spring/ Junit/Mockito), HTML and CSS (HTMX and CSS Tailwind), javascript and typescript.

Expectations

I am looking to be challenged intellectually. I am more concerns about the tech being used and the people I work with rather than the company name. I would ideally love a mix of Data Engineering and Machine Learning Engineering.
