Summary

I'm a software developer with 10 years of experience across many roles and disciplines. I started my career in agricultural asset management, and branched out into a variety of agtech applications including data science, weather predictions, and crop modeling. I've also developed tools for product placement in advertising, and worked with engineers to build and enhance tools that let them meet client demands more quickly.

My experience is primarily in back-end development including Python, Django, ASP.Net, and Node.js but I am also comfortable doing front end or data engineering work. In addition to lead developer roles I've also managed a team of engineers and data scientists, and while my preference is development, I understand the management role. I'm a very flexible developer and will happily work with whatever tools are needed to get the job done.

Expectations

I'm looking to work as part of a team developing interesting software with whatever tools are the best fit. I want to learn new things and continue to develop my skills as a developer, with a focus on clean, maintainable code. I enjoy mentoring new developers through code reviews and shared projects. Work/life balance is also important to me - I believe people work best when they are able to rest and process outside of work.
