Summary

I have been working in enterprise bizops for the last 20 years. My responsibilities included Red Hat Linux system administration, Apache configuration, load balancer administration, web application development using Sencha ExtJS library for the front end and PHP for the backend.

I designed and built the web application at first in Adobe Flex and then migrated that to Sencha ExtJS. The backend (PHP) connected to MySQL and Oracle databases and other internal SOAP and REST API's.

I designed and built an API service at first with SOAP to comply with our internal standards and then migrated that to a RESTful API server.

I learned and became a subject matter expert with OpenIDC and OAuth2. I migrated the web site authentication from secure cookie based to OIDC. I also migrated the API server authentication from Basic AUTH to OAuth2.

With my extensive Git experience I helped the company to migrate to GitHub from local Git servers.

I have been trained in Safe 5.0 and Agile. I have been using Jira for the past five years. I can write user stories from customer requests and participate in the full software development life cycle.

I have mentored others and have supervised 10 junior developers.

I am passionate about OOP and security and have been an advocate for both within my company. Most teams have updated their code accordingly.

Expectations

I am looking for a challenging role writing backend code and mentoring others. I would love to be wring object oriented PHP developing new API's and working with the UX team. I want to learn new development languages and libraries.
