Senior Manual QA Tester

Summary

No matter what you need a manual tester for, I am ready to do it. Roughly twenty years ago, after I graduated from a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer course at a trade school, my QA career began. It has spanned frontend/black box and backend/gray box work, with a heavy emphasis on the former. I have worked in distribution, and have tested web apps, medical research databases, instructional and training software, and video games. Since the early 2000s, I have tested on virtually every video game platform, including consoles, portables, smart devices, and Windows and Macintosh. Project management solutions that I am very familiar with include JIRA, TestRail, DevTrack, Confluence, SharePoint, and others. Tools include but are not limited to Postman, browser consoles, dev kits and software, performance tools, and profilers. I pride myself on my ability to write succinct summaries, eliminate duplicate issues and bugs within bugs, and to deeply understand the software I am testing so I may convey its issues effectively.

Expectations

An exciting environment with a passion for excellent Quality Assurance and a project that I may be dedicated to long-term. If the company wishes to grow into automation and would provide on-the-job training, all the better. However, manual testing is my current strength and my related experience is vast, and I can use it to dynamically respond to myriad situations.
