Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Summary
I am leader by example with exceptional technical abilities and a love for collaboration and mentoring. I have over a decade of experience in the datascience and ML space and a track record delivering high quality solutions to challenging and ambiguous problems, consistently taking the initiative to remove roadblocks and inefficiencies in process along the way. I like complex problems, but dislike complex solutions.
In my most recent role, I streamlined process and collaborated across multiple teams to deliver a robust ground-up solution serving real-time recommendations at web-scale.
Specifically, this included collaboration with our MLOps team to build the core of our CI/CD pipelines (Argo), collaboration with our ML platform team to build out a robust data ingestion and deployment pipeline for our fallback recommendation service (Argo, Snowflake, DynamoDB, Kubernetes), development and deployment of a CTR model powering a critical live-scoring component of our recommender system (FastText, scikit-learn, Polars, FastAPI, Kubernetes, Argo, Docker, Snowflake).
In addition, I took the initiative to design my team's project structure and workflow to enable robust dependency management, multi-project coordination, and industry best-practices across the entire team. This included mentoring and teaching the members of my team (including my direct supervisor) to implement the new workflow.
Expectations
I am looking for a high velocity ML engineering role where I can share my knowledge and experience with less experienced team members while also building on my own skill. The ideal role will require me to wear several different hats ranging from data scientist, software engineer, MLOps engineer, and teacher. Ideally, I will also have to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies, processes, programming languages, and/or problem spaces--bonus points for positive social impact.
