Summary

I've been leading engineering efforts for many years now, in a hands-on capacity, including
driving solution designs. My professional history is full stack, but as long as Im making an
impact, Im happy to work up or down the stack. Ive built all sorts of stuff: greenfield web apps,
web services, database design, platform code, and distributed back-ends. I love to innovate. I
like to understand core needs, meet them with care and urgency, and keep improving on the
delivery, always coming back to the core needs that initiated the effort, which can easily get lost.
Here are a few of my accomplishments:
Designed, developed and led first-of-its-kind NFT revenue tracking system. It was an
indispensable tool for the accountants at Nifty's ( Contact and others. This
involved
Uncharted territory, both for me, and Gilded (my previous employer). It involved a
good deal of learning, discovery, experimentation, evolution, etc. All the good
stuff!
Early delivery, followed by iterations of enhancements, including a flexible
declarative design for transforming various json data to a standard format
Serverless node.js, consuming many 3rd party apis for blockchain data
Google Cloud Platform: Firestore, Queues and Scheduling (jobs) to handle scale
and fault tolerance
Successfully on-boarding and leading a team of other engineers, supporting them
through new feature build-outs
Partnering with product, support, and executive teams, and with end customers
directly to understand problem space, prioritize solutions, plan and execute.
Part of a large team that created a service layer for Expedia customers to cancel their
own travel arrangements (prior to this, they had to call to cancel). This reduced costs for
the company by millions a week
Built the front and middle tier of Online Appointments for BECU

I'm always looking to make an impact, to lead engineering efforts, solve challenging problems, learn stuff. That's what motivates me. I like to work in teams with high engagement, where everyone cares about the results we are working towards, and how we get there together.
