Summary

Background:
I worked as an audio engineer in NYC for about 8 years before deciding to take on Software Engineering. I attended a software engineering boot camp (Flatiron School) and worked for an e-commerce marketplace startup for about 3 1/2 years. The engineering team there was small, so it allowed me to impact multiple facets of the business and granted me the opportunity to level up my skills by being exposed to many different systems and concepts early in my new career. I used this exposure as an opportunity to gain much more experience than the amount of time I spent there would suggest. With that said, I am incredibly eager to continue building my knowledge base and can handle being introduced to new problems requiring solid, scalable solutions. I look forward to being able to utilize my skills to help create value for another business.

Major achievements include:
- Increasing the site's Lighthouse accessibility score by over 35 points
- Integrated multiple analytics platforms (GTM, GA, Amplitude)
- Connected our variety of AB testing platforms' variation data into a single attribute to be used inside of Amplitude, eliminating the need for the product team to check conversion data in multiple places
- Re-architected and developed a new internal headless CMS
- Designed and executed ETL for the CMS changeover to the new system with a 100% success rate
- Created clear, concise documentation for the new CMS, eliminating the need for developers to handle onboarding on the new application

Expectations

Most importantly, I want to work for a company that understands that my development adds to its success. Allotted time to spend upping my knowledge and learning new technical skills is a very important offering. As for the job itself, I am willing to take on any challenge that may be put in front of me, which could mean working purely on the front-end or back-end or taking on a full-stack roll.

Other than that, to put it simply, I would like to work for a company that supports me as much as I support it. This means fair compensation, 401K, health care, and PTO benefits.
