Senior Front End Software Engineer
Summary
In the last 7 years, I've had the privilege of collaborating with exceptional teams working on everything from backend microservices to front-end design systems. I am driven by a passion for accessibility, design systems, and mentorship, which I believe collectively form a web (pun intended) of inclusivity and empathy crucial to the success of every innovative product and team.
I have improved accessibility compliance by over 70% in multiple codebases, all fully documented in Storybook.js. I also had the privilege of crafting 100+ modular, accessible, and tested front-end components in React and Angular that improved the experience of millions of end-users.
With expertise in both monorepo and microservice architectures, I have a strong grasp of navigating large code bases. I have enjoyed breaking out of my wheelhouse to build RESTful APIs and data contracts between front-end and back-end systems.
Mentorship and teaching has always been near to my heart. As a mentor at CodeDay Labs and Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind (CSDB), I was given the opportunity to share the joy of engineering with students from a multitude of backgrounds, and facilitate accredited development programs spanning multiple months.
Expectations
I hope to find a position in a company that provides value to the world in a meaningful way. I'd love to work in an agile and collaborative environment, built around people over process. Mentoring and teaching more junior engineers is very important to me, and finding a company that fosters this kind of environment is important to me.
