Summer Xue is a success-driven, intellectually curious and highly collaborative individual with over 6 years work experience in data science, machine learning and quantitative research. Currently, She serves as Senior Data Scientist at Instacart in San Francisco, with focus on customer growth, payment experience and affordability of the App. She owns product analytics, statistical experiments design/analysis, and data virtualization to optimize marketing strategy and facilitate key payment processor launches, including Instacart Credit Card, Stripe and Klarna. Notably, She led an end-to-end customer targeting project through extensive application of machine learning modelling using custom statistical techniques with large scale ETL pipeline, which now allows the team to quickly detect customer price elasticity and resulting in significant increase in revenue.
Prior to Instacart, she worked as a manager in the quantitative research field of the financial industry in Toronto, Canada, where she specialized in predictive modelling and risk optimization.
