Summary

I am a senior data scientist who has experience finding insights from human behavioral data, B2B data, and audio data. Most recently, I worked at Aware on the Behavioral Intelligence team, where I designed ML models to predict employee energy levels and engagement from human behavioral data in enterprise collaboration platforms, like Slack and Microsoft Teams. I am also the Head of Technical Interview Preparation at The Erdős Institute, a career development program aimed at preparing graduate students and post-docs for positions in industry and entrepreneurship.

Previously, I worked at Sonde Health, where I detected vocal biomarkers from speech samples such as (1) respiratory symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and (2) clinical depression. I also have worked at a market research and growth-strategy firm called PATH, where I researched employee engagement and brand analysis. My PhD involved designing experiments and testing hypotheses about how and why we experience emotions when we listen to music.

Expectations

I'm looking for senior data science roles. My specialty is in human behavior analysis, from building engagement ML models from text data, to designing and analyzing survey data, to studying emotions and how they impact decisions and behaviors. I would like my work to make a positive impact in the world, preferably helping better people's lives. Improving lives can be defined in many ways, so I am open to numerous verticals.

I excel especially in taking hard-to-define corporate objectives and creating actionable ML models that deliver business impact. I expect my new job to include cross-functional research, where I would work with product teams (PMs, Customer Success) to help solve true business problems in innovative ways.
