Overcoming technical challenge:

People/project management:
- Spearheaded service expansion project
- Designed project plan and all spreadsheets/training materials
- Interviewed and hired team of in-house contractors to process data scraped by remote UpWork contractors
- Wrote a small QA function in Python, saving over 400 hours of manual work
- Worked/processed data along with the team, as well as providing support/escalation for any issues flagged by the team

Expectations

- No blame culture: an environment that encourages risk-taking and embracing mistakes with a learning-first attitude makes for a bolder, safer, healthier team dynamic
- Team support: nobody knows everything, I want to feel that I can tap on a teammate's shoulder for support just as they should feel the same with me
- Work-life balance: Off-time should be respected. If extra work hours are needed, in a well-managed team this should be communicated ahead of time, not too frequent, and reciprocated with lighter work hours on a different day to respect employee's time
