Sales Engineer

Summary

Started with my most recent company in a customer facing Business Analyst role and after 6 months was approached by the companies CCO to move into a pre-sales Solutions Consultant role. I wore many hats in my and always impressed my managers and peers with my ability to problem solve, learn quickly, and get things done.

Now how do 1 year of being a Solutions Consultant, 6 months as a Business Analyst, and Leasing Consultant experience tie together to make a strong candidate for a Sales Engineer role?

With my leasing consulting work it was more in line with b2c sales but lead in a b2b manner. For example I would prospect my leads, dig into their requirements for their next home, analyze their list of requirements while also providing guidance based on real time market data, and lastly match them to their solution or next home. Not to mention the insurmountable soft-skills I gained being with clients daily.

From there my journey takes me to DePaul University where I started working on my Masters degree in Information Systems. This opened the door to bridging the gap of knowledge I would need to find success in a SaaS Business Analyst role and transitioning into a successful Solutions Consultant.

Expectations

Growth opportunities, I strongly enjoy helping colleagues by any means from emotional to mental support or coaching. I would definitely prefer to 3-5 years from now lead a team.
Unlimited or generous PTO, work-life balance, my most recent role had 10 days of PTO and in this day and age thats just not ideal. Forward thinking business with strong management is extremely valuable to me as well.
