Summary

Hello,

I have worked on VR for 3 years on software testing and regression testing many OCULUS VR headsets and functions for META. I worked on releasing the OCULUS PRO as well. I Have worked in the gaming inustry since 2016 and have worked in Nintendo and Microsoft on video game testing.

Three ways that my experience has prepared me for this position include:
1. An Understanding of QA Methodologies: While working on OCULUS, I gained
a strong understanding of various QA methodologies, including continuous
integration, test-driven development, and performance testing. The
experience I have gained in these and other methodologies makes me a
strong candidate for future projects. While working in Nintendo , Animal
Crossing has taught me the importance of working with the over-seas
engineers and developers who do not fluently speak the same language as I
, to still achieve a wonderful looking game prior to release during COVID.
2. Problem-Solving Skills: One of the core values of my practice is
excellent problem-solving. Throughout my time working at OCULUS I learned
to think critically and strategically, employing logical solutions to
challenging issues, and utilizing data and analysis to produce
reproducible results.
3. Collaboration: My experience with the QC process of testing video games
taught me the importance of collaboration among teams. I am confident that
my strong teamwork skills, communication prowess, and collaborative nature
make me well-equipped to work in a team-focused environment.
I have a gap in my work history due to the pandemic which had greatly
impacted Meta and Oculus to fully support its staff each month for the
past 2 years; Therefore I was laid off from my previous role back in April
, 2023 as a result of its impact as many thousands of employees were and
are still being laid off. Despite this, my passion for the industry
remains undiminished and I look forward to using my proven skill set and
experience to excel in any position and project given to me.

Expectations

I am looking for a permanent job that is in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, WA. I am open to remote or hybrid or full time in office. I would like to stay in the tech industry or gaming industry. I am ready to work starting next week. I have reliable transportation and can interview this week at the earliest.
