Im a highly motivated musician and programmer with a background in UX looking to transition into the world of product management. After graduating with a BA in Music from the University of Pennsylvania, I developed a deep love for software and coding solutions to complex problems at the Holberton School. There, I learned the foundations of software engineering through a year-long project-based course covering C, Python, server management, and web front end. After giving more heavily engineering-based work a try, I realized that my passion lies in organizing people and cultivating teams around a common goal. This led me to complete my Certified Scrum Master certification and pursue project management, as I believe it is a more fitting suit for my skill set, as well as an area where I can add much more immediate value.
In addition to the full-time, one-year program at Holberton, I previously attended an immersive 12-week UX Design course at General Assembly. I believe I can merge these two skills together to offer a holistic view of any challenge that comes my way. Currently, I have been combining my skills in organizing and performing at VR events, overseeing the entire process from brainstorming through concept art, modeling, world-building, and booking.
Given my current experience and excitement about learning new skills, I am looking for a strongly community-oriented company, with opportunities for mentorship, training, and education. I very much appreciate a company culture that values openness, review, and growth.
