Product Marketing Engineer
Summary
I am a graduate student in the College of Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, pursuing a full-time dual masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering & Technology Innovation Management. I am interested in product management as it aligns with my passion for exceptional products and services, ability to speak both tech and business languages, and hunger for knowledge. I have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering and have taken several product design courses in my undergraduate studies, including completing a certificate in entrepreneurship. In my graduate studies, I focused on product management and learned several leadership and managerial courses, including Marketing for Entrepreneurship and New Product Development. I have had several notable experiences in my academic and professional career, including leading a team that designed a device to simulate microgravity conditions for plants on earth, participating in a senior design project to manufacture a functional indoor autonomous delivery vehicle utilizing Segways Loomo robot for the Mechanical Engineering department, and working as an EY Tax Platform Capstone Project Consultant where I was responsible for identifying and addressing stakeholder pain points and solution benefits for the Intelligent Gateway platform. I also completed an internship at MathWorks as an Autonomous Driving Product Marketing Intern, where I collaborated with the Autonomous Driving product cross-functional team to identify market opportunities, conduct competitive analyses, and create demos and customer-focused content. My experience as an EY Foundry AI Coach Project Consultant allowed me to conduct usability test interviews and competitive analysis to determine the product's user pain points and weaknesses. I suggested future product pipeline and new product feature priorities that utilize NLP and computer vision AI, which would provide the product with a competitive edge in the market. Additionally, I developed a Figma UI prototype that demonstrated the potential product capabilities in non-verbal body language evaluation, which impressed both clients and management alike. I am a F1 visa holder with STEM extension OPT, which covers me for 36 months after graduation in May, during which time I do not need authorization or sponsorship from my employer.
