Summary

I made the hardest decision of my life: back in 2018, when I left my home at the age of 18 to come to the US with just $100 in my pocket to start a new life in a country where I didnt know anyone. Despite being a first generation kid and my Dad making merely $9K/year; The opportunity cost of not trying was way too high.

Since then, I have worked with 6 different startups so far as a Software Engineer as well as a Product Manager, where I worked on different sectors of the Product such as Growth, Marketing, Sales, Operations & Product. (one of which also got acquired); started my own crypto startup; worked as the 15th employee for a YC startup, PM for Microsoft & now working as a Product Manager. During all of my time with all the amazing startups I worked with, the most important thing for me was to wear multiple hats and learn new things on an everyday basis. I like to throw myself in not-so-familiar situations as those situations help me grow.

Being a Product Manager I have the ability to wear multiple hats while focusing on different segments for the company. Ill get autonomy and get the chance to use my people skills while getting out of my comfort zone to learn a bunch of different things in a fast paced environment. Thats enough Dopamine for me (yay! excited)

Why PM? I love being an advocate for customers. It gives me the ability to take holistic responsibility for the product, from the little details to the big picture. It gives me the ability to work at the intersection of technology, business, and design. And as a PM, it also brings out my personal trait of leading my team without authority, and influencing them with my vision and research.

Expectations

Ability to wear multiple hats while focusing on different segments for the company. Having autonomy and getting the chance to use my people skills while getting out of my comfort zone to learn a bunch of different things in a fast paced environment would be the key.
